Morning excursion to Elephanta caves – located across the sea from the Gateway of India and accessible by ferry is the island of Elephant that has rock-cut cave temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. There are also figures of Shiva dancing the tandava, the marriage of Shiva and Parvati and one in which Shiva appears as Ardhanareshwar, uniting both sexes in one body.
Afternoon city tour of Mumbai Prince of Wales Museum, Marine Drive , Malabar Hill, etc. Overnight at hotel.
Today you are transferred to the domestic airport for flight to Goa . On arrival transfer to hotel for overnight stay.
Old Goa , once a thriving commercial and residential centre and now totally abandoned, only the Churches and Cathedrals remain standing as the memory of earlier days. Se Cathedral is the is the largest Church in Asia and the Basilica of Bom Jesus, houses the relics of St. Francis Xavier, making it an international pilgrim centre. From there drive to New Goa (Panjim) to wander round the shops, hear its interesting history and visit the atmospheric Old Latin quarters. In the evening take a boat cruise on the river Mandovi, a pleasant way to spend a thoroughly enjoyable evening in Goa . Overnight at hotel.
